Manufacturing Engineer

VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing location in Henderson, NV.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be engaged, with occasional guidance, in developing manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, powder coat and machining processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to produce machined components. Work is performed at our new state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility and will require creativity, initiative, and a high-level of independent judgement. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is critical for success in this role.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in related manufacturing role
• Knowledge of sheet metal materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of machineability of material, CNC machining and related processes.
• Well versed in ASME Y14.5-2009
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and practices
• Experience with Inspection equipment (Keyence preferred)
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Must be willing to take a leadership role in all assigned activities

• Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bends down and reaches up
• Frequently communicates with others. must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing
• Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
• Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. 
alone; ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift
