Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Shift:M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000Who we are:
Our client is a global company with regional sales offices throughout the U.S. and manufacturing facilities based in IL and international. They provide merchandising solutions for top brands and retailers all over the world. Looking to add an additional manufacturing engineer due to an increase in work and large projects upcoming.
Manufacturing Engineer Role:
This individual will support manufacturing projects and metrics, support continuous improvement projects, trouble shoot and support automation, and provide data on processes that will drive cost reduction.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows and streamline operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization
- Programming and troubleshooting automation
- Submit ECR's for any variances requiring variances in manufacturing processes and/or machine capabilities
- Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment in response to new product developments, change orders, or CI activities
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency
- Responsible for daily production support including initiating Engineering Change Requests for process changes, and participating in cross functional problems solving teams when responding to internal or external/customer issues/concerns
Manufacturing Engineer Reporting Relationships:
- Will report to the maintenance manager
About You:
- Four-year Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial or Plastics preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Background in lean manufacturing or other continuous improvement methods or programs preferred
- Functional and hands-on process engineering experience (polymer extrusion and injection molding would be nice)
- CAD experience
- Capital Project writeup and justification experience
