Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for using Lean and Six Sigma strategies to drive continuous improvement, manage manufacturing data, and support various engineering teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to both high-level process design and detailed document creation, while maintaining a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process optimization. Key Responsibilities: Plan, document, and implement manufacturing processes utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and ensure all manufacturing data is accurately documented within the Epicor ERP system. Support the design and manufacturing of custom equipment, providing expertise for product teams and assisting with the new product introduction process. Optimize workstation ergonomics and safety by ensuring proper setup, tooling, and equipment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles. Ability to work on both detailed tasks (such as document creation) and high-level process design initiatives. Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization strategies.
Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis and identifying corrective actions. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey ideas to team members and management. Capable of analyzing information to evaluate results and implement the best solutions.
Commitment to continuous learning and keeping technical knowledge up to date. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field. 3-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, with 2-5 years of practical application of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing strategies.
Experience with SOLIDWORKS and Epicor ERP is highly desirable. Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher is preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
Background in machining center operations or electro-mechanical assembly. Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM and familiarity with custom vehicle upfit manufacturing processes. Ability to effectively manage both small-scale tasks and larger projects, working independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements: Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires occasional walking, sitting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level, as well as regular hand dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement and process optimization are key. If you are a self-starter with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and hands-on problem-solving, we encourage you to apply.
