Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with PCC Code of Conduct requirements.

  • Ensure that all department production methods and practices are consistent with internal quality standards, customer requirements and the AS9100 program.

  • Maintain and present department score card to management staff.

  • Maintain schedule to efficiently utilize all resources, such as machines, people, cost, and supplies.

  • Effectively collaborate with Sales and Quality departments

  • Develop routers with accurate machine rates along with detailed instructions in the ERP/MRP system.

  • Create work orders in the ERP/MRP system for distribution to the shop floor.

  • Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly daily.

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and process improvements, which may impact production.

  • Review variable costs, productivity, earned standard hours and throughput daily and implements effective corrective actions when targets are not achieved

  • Develop, initiate, and implement lean manufacturing principles.

  • Support and improve upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.

  • Continuously improve by reducing waste through lean activities, such as 6S and value stream maps.

  • Maximize material yields with a specified customer input stock.

  • Perform purchase order review of customer orders to assure compliance to all customer requirements and accepted PCC regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of sound business practices.

  • Solid, overall business acumen and a strong mindset for continuous improvement.

  • Attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Oracle experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.

  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years experiencing in a Manufacturing environment is highly preferred but not required.

  • Previous work experience in a Forgings environment is highly preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
