As a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of the Photo Team responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of Photo operations. The ME will be responsible for tool loading optimization, output ramp planning, and cycle time improvement.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Applying industrial engineering concepts to Line management, Capacity analysis, Scheduling and production planning.

  • Using statistical analysis to maintain and audit manufacturing capacity information.

  • Designing and coordinating capacity improvement projects.

  • Working with management to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics.

  • Interfacing with Micron's other production Fabs throughout the world to plan for future product introductions and optimizing current production capabilities.

  • Validating model accuracy (process flow, model metrics, tool of record).

  • Coordinating Model of Record/Process of Record gap list and contingency items on new technology by performing capacity analysis and communicating to all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience in semiconductor manufacturing.

  • Knowledge or experience in data collection and experiment execution.

  • Knowledge or experience in business process improvement.

  • Knowledge or experience in Scheduling.

  • Knowledge of queuing theory, the push and pull system, and Little's Law.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Knowledge or experience with statistics applied to data analysis.

  • Knowledge or experience with Inventory Management.

  • Knowledge or experience in Project Management.

  • Knowledge or experience of capacity planning.

  • Knowledge or experience in OEE metrics and management.

  • Must be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift and nights.

Degree Required: BS or equivalent foreign education

Provides technical guidance in addition to timely problem resolution to manufacturing operators. Basic Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists and create manufacturing work instructions to meet all requirements. Experience in resolving engineering, planning, tooling, assembly, and fabrication problems. Ability to work closely with design engineering, manufacturing operators, test, quality assurance and other operations support teams. Demonstrated capability to multitask in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Bachelors degree in Engineering related field Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Desired Skills: Understanding of lean and six sigma principles Familiarity with Solumina (DIs, Routings) Experience with Creo, or equivalent software Previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and/or cabinet assembly.
