Assist with design and implementation of manufacturing improvements
Design fixtures for welding, assembly and machine areas
Assist with preventative maintenance procedures
Lead Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) activities
Research and specify new capital equipment
Lead problem solving efforts in the plant
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, metal cutting and forming, painting and assembly
Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts
Solid modeling (CREO) experience a plus
Experience in fixture design
Experience in capital equipment analysis and justifications
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong Leadership skills
Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Pro-Engineer
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
