Manufacturing Engineer (New Health Care Company)
3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company with:

We expect the creation of the two companies will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024. We will continue to operate as one global company. This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company".
The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Willingness to be on-call (interest question)
Provides engineering leadership to the assigned areas of the Stafford Springs manufacturing plant - establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs.
Implement safety, productivity, and yield improvements with ownership for key manufacturing processes and products.
Leads local implementation of Management of Change projects in support of global safety, product quality, and service goals.
Leads and participates in multiple Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement projects focused on safety, process, and quality system improvements.
Monitors ongoing productivity of assigned areas and initiates continuous improvement projects.
Supports site resources with technical knowledge and problem-solving skillset.
Willingness to be on-call.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
Wastewater process experience
Minimum one year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Experience using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma problem solving methodology
Experience with Minitab or other statistical software
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgency
JDE or SAP experience

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
