Moog in Salt Lake City, Utah is looking for a ManufacturingEngineer to be the Design Authority for Moog Products, as part of our ProductEngineering team. You'll provide support for production assembly and test areasby resolving issues, maintaining product integrity, and influencing productcost.

Here's what you can expect to do as a ManufacturingEngineer at Moog .

  • Support the fabrication of complex machinedparts and sub assemblies by providing timely and accurate N/C programs andoperation sheets.

  • Assure compatibility of engineering drawings andspecifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewingdrawing and making suggestions for changes and revisions to enhanceproducibility.

  • Coordinate with various departments and teammembers to assure the most effective design and use of manufacturing facilitiesand processes.

  • Establishes standard times for setup and run ofeach operation on assigned parts.

  • Originate and conduct studies directed towardsmore efficient manufacturing of parts.

  • Includes recommendations for changes in equipment,processes, methods, materials and designs.

  • Establish tooling, gaging and fixture concepts.Review and approve tool, gaging and fixture design drawings. Estimates hoursrequired to design and also fabricate tools and fixtures.

  • Work with Moog suppliers to coordinate operationsheets containing outside and inside operations. Assist suppliers in resolutionof problems related to the manufacture of Moog parts.

  • Technically direct, guide or train ManufacturingEngineering Technicians and Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.

YOU'LLNEED .

  • B.S. Degree (ME or IE preferred) and a minimumof 3 years manufacturing engineering experience.

  • Additional seasoned experience in manufacturingengineering that would be equivalent to what is learned in a degreed programwould be an acceptable alternative to the B. S. Degree requirement.

The Instruments Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer 2 or 3 based out of Salt Lake City, UT. What You'll get to Do: * Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. * Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. * Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. * Interpret engineering drawings and recommend design changes to ease of product manufacturability. * Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. * Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. * Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. * Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. * Exercise understanding of assembly level build hierarchy. * Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions on process failures. * Perform troubleshooting on complex electrical circuits. * Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. * Manage projects through the multiple life cycle phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor and Control, and Closure. * Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques across manufacturing environment. * Perform operator or peer training as needed. * Work closely with production floor supervisor, quality, and design engineering and supports day to day production activities.
