The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Structure Bill of Materials, preparing costing worksheets, lead key Manufacturing projects as assigned, supervise machine personnel, assist with CNC programming as needed, evaluate manufacturability of part drawings and add tolerancing and maintain updated product drawing files, and help support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Structure product BOMs.
Work with sales, supply chain and cost accounting to provide new product quotes.
Work to understand and maintain manufacturing machine standards and product run rates.
Lead key manufacturing projects as assigned.
Supervise Machine Shop personnel.
Lend key support on Lean Kaizen events.
Assist with research, development, design and prototyping of new products.
Review "Design for Manufacturability" on new product projects.
Maintain a product drawing data base to include added tolerancing where needed.
Support CNC programming as needed.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
Engineering Degree or ten (10) years of hands on prior relative experience or a combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, SolidCAM, SigmaNest, DR. ABE for Blank, Dr. ABE for Bend and Torchmate CAD.
