ITW Medical is comprised of two highly-respected medical product brands - Coeur & Filtertek - supplying medical devices and components to global medical device brands. Filtertek manufactures molded filtration and flow control components. Coeur is a leading provider of disposable diagnostic imaging consumables.
This position qualifies for a shift differential.
Position Summary:
This position is a paid internship for the summer of 2024. The internship will be based in our Hebron, IL plant and will report directly to the Plant Manager. The primary deliverables are to support validation efforts associated with new manufacturing equipment as well as engineering projects for capacity improvement in the high growth Filtration and Infusion segments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, development process improvements of new and existing products and equipment.
Drive improvement in manufacturing processes through the use of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Conduct ongoing analyses manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Assist in new product development and modifications and revisions to existing products
Participate in coordination and implementation of capital projects
Investigate and install new methods, layouts, equipment and process analysis that improve overall operation of the plant.
Develop and implement work instructions and standardization of processes.
Troubleshoot processes which are prone to be frequent or major production problems.
Other tasks and duties as assigned
