Job Summary Unlock the opportunity to play a vital role role as our Manufacturing Engineer on the campus of our Mocksville plant. We seek a professional with expertise in optimizing production processes, including flow, tooling, methods, and equipment.

This role requires a hands-on approach, actively engaging on the production floor to collaboratively address various challenges and serve as a key problem solver. Your proficiency in tool, fixture, and gage design will be instrumental, leveraging engineering principles to establish robust manufacturing processes. This position is project-oriented with significant involvement in shop floor activities.

Experience with paint booth operations is advantageous, as you will be instrumental in developing procedures for this area. Showcase your comprehensive knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, encompassing machining, assembly, and quality control processes in this opportunity. Responsibilities Designs and coordinates standard manufacturing processes while planning or enhancing production methods, including flow, tooling, assembly methods, and production equipment. Estimates production times, optimizes staffing for schedules, and evaluates capital equipment needs, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and suppliers. ances.

Creates production processes and documentation via routings, bills of materials, and standard work, while assisting internal and external suppliers with troubleshooting process issues to identify root causes. Oversees fixture design and manufacture, ensures final process capability and stability, and evaluates non-conforming parts to determine appropriate disposition. Leads and participates in Lean Manufacturing improvement events utilizing various tools and techniques, implements cost reduction ideas, and ensures safety is integrated into all processes while implementing necessary corrective actions to mitigate safety risks.

Develop, test, modify, and innovate technical solutions while directing and coordinating production, operations, quality assurance, testing, and maintenance processes. Determine root causes using 8D and 5-Why tools while assessing manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing. Drive engineering principles and processes to develop robust manufacturing systems from the outset.

Basic Qualifications BS degree required with concentration in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering. Experience in final assembly and testing. A strong understanding of production control and demand-pull systems is highly desired.

Demonstrated understanding of inspection tools, techniques and their application to engineering requirements. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the energy and passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Proficient skills working in engineering-related software, meticulous in attention to detail.
