Manufacturing Engineer III (Aerospace)

Manufacturing Engineering III opportunity in San Diego, CA

Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer II will develop engineering solutions to improve the manufacturing process for new and existing aerospace products. Problem solving will be conducted using existing procedures along with data analysis to make engineering judgement calls. Collaborate with design teams and value stream leads for most efficient designs that pair with their manufacturing processes and capabilities.

This role will include some leadership duties in guiding lower level engineers on creating work instructions, manufacturing layouts, travelers and material selections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

• 8+ years experience, 5+ yrs composite manufacturing preferred

• Communication skills written and verbal

• Marketing, Presentations, proposals

• Cost estimating

• NADCAP

• Build to print - no design authority - but ability to design the tooling and process for the product

• Quality Management System

• Minitab
