Our Manufacturing Engineer Level II will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities and Duties: Serves as a technical resource for short-term process problem solving and solution discovery in Supervisor/Team-leader help chain Leads and assists in manufacturing process development efforts to aid in R&D & Product enhancements; Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and confirming manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements. Keeps equipment and tooling operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Supplements training of new employees and development of existing ones for in-depth technical requirements Serves as technical process resource for Supervisors in areas of responsibility Leads and assists in initiatives to grow the process capabilities to meet the changing needs of the customers Requirements:
Qualifications and Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Systems Engineering 3-5 years of experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or related experience Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills Experience with CAD programs Proficient in the use of Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience in programming PLCs, troubleshooting, and analyzing production machines and systems is a plus Previous application of lean manufacturing and structured problem solving tools is a plus Willingness to participate in continuous learning opportunities
