Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer plans and executes programs within the manufacturing plant to ensure all customer and company targets are achieved. They evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Develop robust processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance targets.
Devises new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
Develops and maintains detailed layouts of assigned lines and equipment.
Provides decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
Prepares and presents plans for continuous improvement proposals and coordinates deployment, including the training of team members.
Participates in collaborative brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure cohesion.
Establish effective and efficient work instructions/sequences across all assigned lines
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with all government regulations.
Evaluate current manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research experiments. Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Confer with equipment vendors. Solicit observations from operators and encourage their involvement.

Requirements
employment requirements:
University degree in engineering or equivalent.
Strong written and oral communication skills, exhibits strong sense of urgency.
Demonstrated experience creating effective change and designing and delivering training programs.
Well versed in Lean Manufacturing
Green belt or black belt certification with Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
Experience applying the principals underlying TQM, Six Sigma or Lean.
Experience with CAD
