As a Manufacturing Engineer (Foundry) you'll be responsible for improving products, processes and machinery.

What you'll do
Establish the process definition for new parts and verify the production process produces a quality part. Provide mold, gate and riser design and utilize solidification software when necessary.
Evaluate defects, determining root cause, developing counter-measures, and implementing corrective actions.
Collect and analyze data to understand process performance and the sources of variation; then, improve the process by implementing effective controls.
Create, audit and improve standard work and job breakdown information in conjunction with the area leader.
Work with maintenance and area leaders in evaluating equipment and processes. Actively support the needs of production personnel.
Bachelors' degree in Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years' experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
Experience in an aluminum sand cast or diecast foundry preferred. Ability to drive to our foundry in New Oxford, PA.
Proficient in MS Office including Excel.
Skilled in SolidWorks or other 3D design software. Possess some understanding of manufacturing such as stamping, drawing, casting or extruding of metals and plastics.
Proficient in Lean & Six Sigma methodology and practices such as standard work, time study, cause & effect, 5 WHY analysis.
Knowledge of US and UL testing processes a plus
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
