PT Manufacturing located in Northampton, PA, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with machines programing experience.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer (MPE) is responsible for determining the most efficient and cost-effective methods for manufacturing products, taking into account internal production resources (personnel and machines) and the availability of external resources, while ensuring adherence to prescribed LEAN quality standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• The MPE will review each ICPO to determine the optimal workflow through the plant, considering available resources and machine capacity. The MPE will provide recommendations to Purchasing and plant Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) regarding outsourcing or internal routing of orders.
• The MPE will collaborate closely with plant Quality teams to define compliance requirements that ensure the proper operation of manufactured parts and assemblies while reducing overall manufacturing costs, in accordance with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• The MPE will provide feedback to Engineering on design changes that can improve the manufacturability of parts and reduce production costs.
• The MPE will coordinate with Quality and Production teams on internal quality concerns and customer complaints, particularly those related to premature wear or equipment failure.
• The MPE will work with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Planning teams to evaluate shop routings and machine programming to maximize efficiency, minimize production time, and reduce production costs.
• The MPE will determine the most efficient manufacturing lot size and direct Production Planning, in alignment with production and quality targets.
• The MPE may supervise and direct the activities of Manufacturing Engineers and Production Planners, as determined by the Operations Manager or Head of Manufacturing.
