Our client is looking to bring aboard a Manufacturing Engineer on a direct-hire basis. This position is located in Racine County, WI.
Who You are
You are a Manufacturing Engineer that enjoys developing and improving manufacturing processes. You are a hands-on working engineer that is able to work independently with little supervision. You are looking for that next step, to lead a team, have your ideas heard, make an impact, and work in a team atmosphere.

What Youll Impact at Our Client
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement continuous improvement projects and/or activities, and safe working conditions throughout the manufacturing operation. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible to support daily manufacturing operations to meet customer requirements and supervising manufacturing support workers and services as required. You will assist in the process of bringing in automated equipment to maximize work flow efficiency.
What Were Looking for
You have 3+ years of relevant and progressive manufacturing engineering experience
You must have min an Associates degree in a related engineering field.
You have experience with bringing automated equipment into a facility.
You have a Lean Manufacturing mindset / process improvement experience ideal.
You have a hands-on work ethic.
You are energetic and passionate about Engineering.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for project development, design and construction of equipment, tooling and assembly systems for current and new products. Assist in implementation and assure production is maintained at expected levels and all equipment functions as planned at three facilities. You will also have the opportunity to specify and purchase capital manufacturing systems. What You'll Do: * Prepare detailed specifications for manufacturing equipment and tooling. * Assist with the placement of manufacturing systems and preparation of layout drawings and the necessary installation drawings. * Investigate current processes and develop better methods for quality and cost effectiveness. * Review, critique and approve design layouts, detail drawings, machine hydraulic, pneumatic and control drawings with appropriate personnel. * Evaluate, justify and procure equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes; select suitable vendors; and assist in negotiating terms. * Estimate costs of tooling, equipment and manufacturing in order to develop and write AR's (Appropriation Requests). * Troubleshoot and identify causes of operational problems. Initiate and implement modifications or configuration changes associated with corrective action. * Identify and document items necessary for repair and maintenance of equipment and tooling. * Plan, justify and introduce capital investments (manufacturing cells, systems, machines and equipment). Additional Information Work in a manufacturing environment with large manufacturing systems. What You'll Need: * Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering Discipline, with mechanical or manufacturing preferred. * Experience working in high volume manufacturing in any industry preferred. * Exposure to metal removal operations, pressworking mild steel, stainless steel and brass, automated assembly, test, or packaging processes is desirable. * Project management and team participation skills. * Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and its methodologies; Experience leading or engaging in Kaizen events.
