Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will review current manufacturing operations, creating programs, in-process drawings and recommend process efficiencies to increase capacity and reduce manufacturing costs. This position will perform root cause analysis on the shop floor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of tools and machines. The qualified candidate will have manufacturing process improvement experience and understand fundamental lean principles. The Manufacturing Engineer also performs a variety of technical and administrative level duties as related to the Health, Safety and Environmental policies of the Company.


  • Work with Operations team to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing daily reports to ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency

  • Under general direction, plan and implement the layouts of plant, office, and production equipment in order to provide the maximum utilization of facilities and efficiency of production

  • Apply Lean principles to optimize work/process flow, set-up time reduction and quick change over

  • Perform and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities to the facility and it's machines and equipment

  • Establish standard routing times and perform time studies as required.

  • Research, evaluate and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance machine operation

  • Conduct safety audits to identify potential accident and health hazards in work areas

  • Ensure that personal protective equipment, such as masks, respirators, protective eyewear, hardhats, fire retardant clothing and safety boots are being used in workplaces according to regulations

  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinances

  • Leverage the company's ERP system (Syteline) to analyze manufacturing data

  • Document standard work including creation of work instructions, recording and analyzing cycle times, and value stream mapping

  • Create and lead Kaizen projects

  • Perform safety and maintenance training as required

  • All other duties as assigned


  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic hardware

  • Able to read shop drawings

  • Exceptional problem solving and organizational ability

  • Self-directed and detail oriented

  • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and engineering software

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Strong customer-service orientation in responding to service requests

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10 years of similar manufacturing experience required

  • Minimum 2 4 years' experience in manufacturing operations in an engineering capacity required (oil & gas industry a plus)

  • Experience with compression molding or injection molding a plus

  • Gibbscam programing experience preferred

  • Robotics experience strongly preferred

  • Basic understanding of reciprocating compressors and the function of major components preferred

  • Practical knowledge of continuous Improvement practices, formal problem solving and Lean Concepts required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools as needed to create spreadsheets, Engineering Standards and other documents
