Manufacturing Engineer - Ditch Witch

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a manufacturing process.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for a specific manufacturing process such as welding, paint, assembly, etc. Works with operations on a day-to-day basis to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.

• Coordinates all preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs with the maintenance department and outside vendors to assure a minimum of 99% up-time.

• Future equipment requirements and capital expenditures to maintain technological changes should be investigated and justified.

• Controls the operating budgets of all supplies and operating accounts, (labor, materials, repair).

• Ensures appropriate inventories are maintained for consumables, repair parts, and supplies.

• Completes training of all personnel as to function of equipment and safe handling of materials. Also, computer skills necessary to maintain functional performance.

• Review and follow up of Q.C. performance testing and analysis.

• Monitors all operating parameters of the process on an agreed upon frequency, take necessary action when appropriate, display results.

• Outstanding housekeeping 100% of the time.

• Troubleshoot necessary processes to maintain uptime and minimize quality deviations.

• Maintains accurate MSDS inventory sheets as it affects the Right-To-Know act.

• Works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance departments for operational assistance and direction.

• Works with outside suppliers to assist in providing improvements and latest technologies in finishing quality and operation.

• Responsible for maintaining all process SOP's.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining all production tooling.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

MFG. ENGINEER III

BSME, BSIE, or similar engineering discipline and 5-8 years experience in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement. Experience in Weld processes is preferred. Have strong computer background. Possess good supervisory and budgeting skills.

MFG. ENGINEER II

BSME, BSIE, similar engineering discipline and 1-3 years experience in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement. Experience in Weld processes is preferred. Have strong computer background. Possess good supervisory and budgeting skills.

MFG. ENGINEER I

BSME, BSIE, similar engineering discipline and 0-1 years experience in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement. Experience in Weld processes is preferred. Have strong computer background. Possess good supervisory and budgeting skills.

Competitive Salary- The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $66900 - $115000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
