Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, will play a crucial role in supporting specific projects from conception to completion. This position involves creating and validating work instructions, developing tooling and fixtures to enhance productivity, and addressing safety concerns. The assistant will also be responsible for purchasing necessary tooling and fixtures. By applying knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, the Manufacturing Process Assistant will work to improve equipment and processes, develop manufacturing standards, and utilize continuous improvement tools. This role ensures that safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are consistently met, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the manufacturing operations..

Assist with the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of manufacturing processes.
Ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
Assist with the development of manufacturing standards and working methods using continuous improvement tools.
Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
Learn and apply manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
Creating and validating work instructions
Work on projects from conception to completion
Develop tooling or fixtures to assist with increasing productivity
Assist with Safety concerns
Purchase tooling and fixtures
This role will require you to be on site 100% of the time
You will be required to lift at least 40lb in this role
