As a Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on continuous improvement and productivity projects, your primary responsibility will be to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity within the manufacturing environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives, with a particular emphasis on productivity enhancement.
Responsibilities
Process Optimization:
Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities to drive operational excellence.
Collaborate with team members to establish improvement goals, metrics, and action plans.
Productivity Enhancement Projects:
Identify opportunities for increasing productivity and throughput in manufacturing operations.
Develop and execute projects aimed at streamlining processes, reducing lead times, and increasing overall production output.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress to management and cross-functional teams.
Quality Assurance:
Cost Reduction and Resource Optimization:
Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining or improving product quality.
Evaluate resource allocation and recommend changes to optimize labor, materials, and equipment usage.
Documentation and Standardization:
Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, SOPs, and documentation for improved process consistency.
Train and educate production teams on updated procedures and best practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
5 + years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of process improvement and optimization.
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing automation is a plus.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
