You will be part of a fast-paced engineering and operations team comprised of all functional disciplines to ensure that our quality and processes are able to bring current and new products to market. You will be working as part of our operations/electronics team, supporting our audio and avionics departments with exposure to our structures departments.

A Day-in-the-life for this role:

  • Provide operations support for new product introductions and process improvements to improve manufacturing efficiency, ensure product quality, and lower costs for new and existing products

  • Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, routers and work instructions for complex and high value processes

  • Support deployment of visual management tools by working with department supervisors

  • Observe, analyze, and optimize product flow through the manufacturing process

  • Evaluate and justify purchase of new capital equipment based on cost-benefit analysis

  • Qualify, document, and implement new process equipment

  • Identify key capacity constraints and address them with new machines, tooling, fixturing, or other solutions

  • Participate on the Material Review Board, assess and disposition non-conformances, conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, and provide corrective action

Experience you will bring to the role:

  • B.S. Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant engineering degree

  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industry

  • 5+ years of experience within an electrical engineering organization

  • Experience with APQP and IPCA+

  • Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing without authority with all levels of an organization and leading effective/successful change initiatives

  • Working proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology and implementation

  • Lean/Six Sigma implementation in manufacturing practices

  • Tooling design experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, with an ability to quickly learn other supporting tools

  • Knowledge and experience in a professional business environment

  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills

  • Strong focus and attention to detail

  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization

The target wage/salary range for this role is $90k - $130k, depending on education and experience.
