Performs basic manufacturing engineering assignments with the application of standard manufacturing engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for the improvement of existing processes and the introduction of new manufacturing products and processes.
Performs manufacturing engineering assignments of basic complexity under direction and supervision with limited latitude for independent action and decision. Participates in the development, planning, and completion of assigned manufacturing engineering projects. Completes defined projects as part of a team or department to support the performance goals of the production process.
Prepares plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and similar assignments.
Conducts analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provides recommendations accordingly.
Makes suggestions and leads improvements to A-dec's products and work processes based on technical knowledge and utilization of basic project management methods.

Bachelor's degree in engineering required, including proficiency in CAD.
Demonstrates skills suitable for application and interpretation of basic manufacturing engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
Ability to effectively communicate in oral, written and graphical form.
5+ years working as a Manufacturing Engineer (in title and/or scope of responsibility)
Demonstrated experience in the application of structured problem solving and/or root cause identification methods in a manufacturing and/or quality assurance role.
Strong understanding and/or demonstrated experience with CNC machine programming, tooling, and/or optimization.
Experience working collaboratively with other manufacturing functions (Planning, Materials, Production Leaders, etc.) in a "mid-volume, high mix" OEM or contract manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience designing final assembly and test processes involving electro-mechanical assemblies of moderate to high complexity.
Knowledge of ISO 13485/UL/FDA standards for medical device industry helpful.
Demonstrated use of Lean Manufacturing tools/principals (value stream, kaizen, 6S, 3P, etc)
Drug Screen and Background Check required.
