Manufacturing Engineer

Description:

Create and manage manufacturing methods and procedures, including documentation of best practice and detailed standard work instructions. Develop, assemble, procure or modify existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.

Complete time studies to quantify processing times and identify areas for process improvements. Assist with hands-on training of shop floor personnel on new products, tooling, equipment and process documentation. Promote and support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities in all manufacturing areas.

Installs and validates equipment and processes in the manufacturing area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle times. Collaborate with the product development team to optimize designs for manufacturability. Create and implement ECOs, including updating of current and future orders.

Validate BOMs and routings for correctness and inclusion of continuous improvements. Strong troubleshooting, problem correction and prevention skills.
