Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the migration of manufacturing and assembly lines from Portland to Arlington Heights. Your responsibilities will include dismantling manufacturing cells, overseeing their shipment, reconstructing them at the new location, and validating the equipment. You will set up the lines, ensure their correct configuration, and monitor the pilot runs for approximately 10 new manufacturing cells, including testing PPAPs. This position involves travel to Portland for one week, 2-4 times over the 12-month assignment.
Hard Skills
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
5-10+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering
PLC Programming
Experience with Ladder-Logic controls
Experience in assembly cell setups and pilot run management
Understanding of basic assembly (pneumatic drivers, electrical controls)
Soft Skills
Ability to code and work on others' code
Troubleshooting and making modifications
Ability to tear down and rebuild systems
Effective monitoring and validation skills

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Work Environment
The role requires occasional travel and involves both office and on-site work in manufacturing environments. You will be actively participating in hands-on tasks and overseeing multiple project elements.
