Job Description:
787 AFT Body Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manager working complex build plan solutions in Composite Fabrication. We work build plan projects and improvements from carbon fiber out of the freezer to the Assembly integration team. Projects center on Sec 47 and 48 detail parts, to complete barrel winding, prepping and curing. Strong interaction leading the manufacturing floor and the Boeing Lean Value Stream team to deliver on time and to the highest quality. Act in a team leadership capacity and manage improvement projects in Integrated Product Teams with cross functional team mates including Tooling, Fulfillment, Design and Stress, Quality and Safety using the Boeing Production System and Boeing Behaviors.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in aerospace production systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • ABET accredited degree

  • Composite experience (BAC5657 preferred)

  • Process improvement, lean management systems(LMS) and value stream team (VST)process execution

  • Build plan development

  • Cross functional team leader

Independent worker on complex, large scale business level projects

Education/ Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
