Responsibilities:

Use knowledge of, and experience with, system analysis of production methods/procedures and process automations for continued growth improvements, manpower distribution based on production and efficiency targets to develop, implement, and improve complex manufacturing production processes and methods. Monitor factory performance, manage, and allocate manpower, and strengthen and develop production and planning structure.

Plan and design manufacturing processes in an industrial paint application facility. Improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity, and support production schedules. Provide support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing operations such as coatings technology, corrosion protection, robotic applications, welding, and brazing, assembly, and material handling.

Manage implementation of continuous improvement processes to create a Lean Manufacturing environment. Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions. Use Problem Solving Processes (such as 8D, A3, 5-Why's or Ishikawa (fishbone)) to ensure sustainable quality products.

Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives. Oversee and implement projects to improve or reduce our carbon footprint; and overall effect to the environment. Assure product and process quality by designing complex testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Participate in budget planning and preparation, monitor expenses and profitability. Author spec books. requests and evaluate supplier quotations Design, document, and implement medium to large-scale manufacturing coating processes. Determine feasibility of production changes.

Evaluate current production activities and processes, and drive improvements. Ensure that highly technical equipment meets required specifications. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.

Contribute to product and process quality design testing methods. Develop planning standards, methods, and procedures. Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.

Provide guidance to less senior manufacturing engineers. Propose and manage medium-scale projects from beginning to end. Act as deputy Engineering Manager.

Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings. Will perform other duties as assigned. Hourly work schedule is 7:30am to 4:30am.

Approx. seven (7) weekends per year required. Remote work one (1) day per week possible.

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering; Industrial Management; or related field plus three (3) years of experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform stated job duties OR Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering; Industrial Management; or related field plus five (5) years of experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform stated job duties.
