Manufacturing Associate

Piper Companies has a Manufacturing Associate opportunity supporting a program with one of our highly renowned pharmaceutical clients in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This role leads and develops biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Associate include:

• Operates and serves as a trainer for operation of manufacturing equipment such as: incubators, stainless steel and disposable single-use bioreactors, depth filtration skids, chromatography skids, single-use mixers, centrifuges, cleaning/sanitization of equipment, washers, autoclaves, tanks and in-process testing instruments.

• Monitors process parameters, contributes to investigations, troubleshoots during processing, and recommends potential solutions.

• Serves as the "Subject Matter Expert" in unit operations to improve quality, ensure safety, and drive process efficiency and accuracy.

• Support process improvement initiatives and authors or revises standard operating procedures accordingly.

• Reviews executed Production Records for accuracy and completion.

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Associate include:

• 1+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required.

• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, or similar degree is required.

• Experience supporting both upstream and downstream/all-stream manufacturing processes.

• Proven leadership experience within the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Compensation for the Manufacturing Associate includes:

• Salary Range: approximately $28.00 - $36.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
