Manufacturing Associate Soldering


Manufacture printed circuit board assemblies to specification in a timely manner


  • TH and SMT Soldering of electronic components including resistors, capacitors, connectors, IC's, switches, crystals, using no-clean and organic flux and both lead and lead-free solder at a IPC Class II and Class III levels
  • Ground Plane Soldering
  • Touch-up (remove bridges, etc.)
  • Basic Mechanical Assembly
  • De-tabbing of PCBAs
  • Follow process documents and workflow instructions
  • Inspect and Quality Check own work/work of others
  • Minor to complex component and wire modifications
  • Position requires flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
  • Follow process documents and workflow instructions
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English



  • 2 years soldering PCBAs at an IPC Class Level (I, II, III)
  • Current or prior certification in IPC 610 and J-STD
  • Solid understanding of basic electronic Component Identification
  • Solid understanding of Board Handling (PCBA)


  • Experience soldering lead-free components
  • Fine Pitch Soldering (less than 0.625mm)
  • Experience with IPC Class III Soldering
  • Skills to perform minor component and wire modification.


  • Work with extremely small and/or fragile components and tools for extended periods of time
  • Read and follow complicated drawing and documentation
  • Normal Color Vision



  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent


  • IPC 610 or J-STD Certification

Soldering Test at client site required.

Pay $13 to $18 D.o.E. and qualifications

Day shift 6:35am 3pm

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for assisting plant operations by performing the following duties: Key Responsibilities May unload unfinished parts from containers and hang on appropriate racks for processing May unload finished parts from rack and pack in appropriate container May apply or remove masking Promotes and utilizes 5S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety Participate in problem solving and process improvements to correct failures to meet customer commitments or plant metrics and performance. Experience and Education High school diploma/GED Certificate preferred. Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand 8+ hours a day. Must be able to work overtime.
