Responsible for the preparation, production and packaging of blend material. Provides assistance to the operator and fills in for basic operator duties as assigned. Maintain blend equipment and production area cleanliness. Must complete all applicable SOP and QA trainings.
Responsible for leading and motivating all the shift employees within the team.
Assists Production Supervisor with implementation of development plans for employees, including hands-on training of all manufacturing personnel.
Monitors consistently by walking around ensuring employees are following the work assignments and ensuring they maintain a sanitary work environment.
Monitors tools and cleaning supplies to ensure production employees have what they need to perform their jobs.
Monitors personal protective equipment use, training and ensuring all employees are working safe and following all safety rules.
Monitors, trains and certifies employees of proper use when moving equipment while product is in transit including Fork Lifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.

Effectively lead shift employees by ensuring high productivity and effectively manage time.
Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Glanbia Nutritionals Non-Negotiables.
Conduct audits pertaining to Glanbia's Safety and Quality programs on the production floor.
Assists supervisor with start of shift huddle and end of shift summary and fills in for the supervisor as needed.
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, and State Ordinance)
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
At least three to five years of manufacturing experience working as part of a team in a Manufacturing environment or assisting in a Lead type role.
Completion of Train the Trainer forklift training.
Working knowledge and ability to operate all blenders and equipment to include packaging, milling and cleaning equipment is preferred.
Will be required to become a technical matter expert for all manufacturing processes, safety and quality in order to train employees and make observations/corrections as needed.
Support the supervisor and manager with all goals and objectives set by the company.
Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.
Forklift Certification Required
Ability to follow direction and work with Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to coach employees on performance and areas of opportunity to improve.
Ability to take good notes, address issues with management and take care of concerns or requests brought up by employees.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report and document all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department.
Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize duties.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Organizational skills and ability to multitask (work on and manage several projects at once).
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends on short notice
Clear command of the English language both verbal and in writing.
