Manual Machinist - Mill & Lathe - 1St Shift - $25 And Up

Job Description Job Description Must be Proficient at working from Prints to perform Precision Manual Machinist duties, making Prototype Automotive and Aerospace Parts from Prints. This is a Prototype and Short Run Production Shop Opportunity Manual Machinist Job Summary We are looking for a Manual Machinist to join our team.

In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of equipment, such as a Manual Lathe, Mill, Drill Press and Surface Grinder. Our ideal candidate has completed a training program through an industry apprenticeship or earned a machinist certificate from a vocational school and has at least one year of manufacturing experience or has at least 10-Years in a manufacturing environment as a Machinist. Duties and Responsibilities Read Prints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job Follow the Prints to create the appropriate tools and/or components/parts Operate the machines required for machining operations Finish projects using manual tools Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order Able to read Micrometers, Calipers and various Test Equipment and Gages Requirements and Qualifications Manual Lathe machining experience Manual Mill machining experience Surface Grinder experience Printing Reading Proficiency Must be Proficient at reading Micrometers, Calipers, Gages, etc.

Shop Math skills Must own basic tools of the Trade At least 10-Years in a Manufacturing Environment Welding Skills, Mig & Tig, are a Big Plus, but Not Required Must have reliable transportation Must be a Team Player and Follow Directions Be willing to work overtime when required Must be Reliable and have dependable Transportation Pay Range: $25 - up Per Hour, possibly more, determined following Job Site Interview. Hours: Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but till 5:30 PM, as required and directed, is the norm. Saturday: 7 AM to Noon or 1:30 PM frequently required.

When machining work is slow, this individual will also from time to time help out in other areas of the company such as: Operating a Press Machine Work as an Operator in the CNC Lathe / CNC Mill Department Being a Delivery Driver Or anything else that the company may require Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check Requires Looking to fill this position within 2-Weeks, (Definitely After the July 4th Holiday) This is a "Temp-To-Hire" Job Opportunity.
