* Experience & Qualifications * High School or equivalent * Technical/Trade School preferred* A minimum or 2 years in the valve repair industry* TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security PassportCompetencies * Strong Mechanical Aptitude * Tenacious * Professionally Articulate * Professional in appearance and actions * Demonstrated ability to read, write and verbalize in a professional, organized manner * Highly inquisitive about industrial process industry * Successful in interfacing with customers, internal and external * Demonstrated problem solving abilities * Self-Starter and Self-DirectedTypical Duties & Responsibilities * Safely and accurately perform the following machining processes * Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO)* Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field * Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press * Hone internal bores * Use magnetic drill for stud removal * Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats * Use surface grinder for gate seat preparation * Perform silver plating * Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.)* Machine threads (ACME single lead, ACME double lead, metric, etc.)* Machine seats and trim * Machine pressure seal rings and mating surfaces of body and bonnet * Machine gear operator segments * Machine stem bushings * Qualified for use of PMI Analyzer* SNT-TC-1A Level-II for PT* Machine seats in high-performance metal-seated butterfly valves, i.e., VanessaOperate the following machines: milling machine, VTL, drill press, press fit, surface grinder, horizontal mill, broach, key seating machine, OD grinder, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap MasterThe above list of duties and responsibilities does not constitute the entire list and the list can be changed, when necessary, at the discretion of management when business needs, customer demands, and other industry or job-related circumstances arise.Physical DemandsPhysical Abilities N O F C Lift / Carry N O F C Stand X 10 lbs or less X Walk X 11 - 20 lbs X Sit X 21 - 50 lbs X Handling / Fingering X 51 - 100 lbs X Reach Outward X Over 100 lbs X Reach Above Shoulder X Push / Pull N O F C Climb X 12 lbs or less X Crawl X 13 - 25 lbs X Squat or Kneel X 26 - 40 lbs X Bend X 41 - 100 lbs X N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this occupation O (Occasionally) Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs / day) F (Frequently) Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs / day) C (Constantly) Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs / day)
