Manual Machinist

Emerge, a global Talent Solutions company, is currently recruiting quailed candidates for a direct hire 2nd shift Manual Machinist job in Cleveland, OH for our client, a manufacturer of quality aerospace components The Manual Machinist This position is responsible for the mechanical construction of molds and dies. This job requires the application of standard mold making techniques, procedures, and criteria. Candidates must have at least one year of manual machining experience, operating such brands as Bridgeport, Hardinge, Le Blode, etc. and additional experience in grinding, metal cutting, etc. This is a 2nd Shift position working Monday-Friday from 3:30 pm – 12:00 am. This position offers an hourly pay rate that is based on experience of $23-$28 per hour with a 10% shift premium ($25.30 - $30.80) and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities for the 2nd shift Manual Machinist job in Cleveland, OH include:

• Responsible for supporting the construction of several products concurrently.
• Interpret design blueprints to determine die mold making plan.
• Perform operations within very close tolerances.
• Ability to inspect own work using precision measuring equipment.
  Ability to work with Engineering and Programming throughout the manufacturing process.
• Able to operate multiple machinery; (Bridgeport, Grinders, Saws, EDM).
• Comply with Corporate EHS, Quality and HR rules and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years of experience operating manual lathes and mills (Bridgeports, Hardinge, LeBlonde, etc.)
  Must have their own tools and toolbox
• Experience/Knowledge of machining a variety of metals.
• Knowledge of speeds, feeds, step downs and cutting tools.
  Ability to use and read handheld measuring tools.
• Must pass client background checks.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
