Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders.
Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy.
Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
Move completed material to the next workstation.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
Certificate from tech school is a plus.
Minimum experience desired is 4 years.
Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
