Manual Machinist

Pay: $20-26/hr.

Description:

• The Manual Machinist will perform repair and fabrication of components for ac/dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, turbines, etc. using manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating. Candidate must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layout. (This is not a CNC position.)

Requirements:

• Experienced using manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses and grinder
• Experienced performing repairs and fabrication of components for ac/dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and turbines
• Flexibility for occasional travel and working overtime/weekends as needed to meet demands of the company and customers
• Good math skills 
• Understanding of machining procedures, understanding of metal properties, and layouts

Job Duties:

• Perform repair and fabrication of components for ac/dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, turbines, etc.
• Operate manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating
• Use knowledge of machining, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layouts to complete projects
• Keep work area safe and clean to company standards
