Senior management position that oversees all key strategies, initiatives and achievement of metrics related Travel air sales. Establishes strategies, oversees implementation, monitors progress, and recommends new initiatives to meet objectives.
Develops and implements long-and short-range plans which focus on continued improvement of member service while supporting sales efforts. Provides strategic and operational direction to the air desk team.
Administers and monitors the travel air policies, guidelines, and budget to deliver efficient travel arrangements. Prepares periodic budget and utilization reports. Provides guidance to employees about air travel requirements including visa and special conditions.
Provides leadership to the function and/or staff, ensuring proper staffing and training levels of all team members with a focus on development and building bench strength while also complying with appropriate professional standards, laws, regulations and operating within the Club's mission, leadership values and the members' interest. Develops multi-year plans/budgets and manages the integration of all aspects of the function across all required Business Lines and geographies supported; maintaining knowledge and awareness of new developments in the function, potential applications to further Club initiatives and makes recommendations regarding the use of internal vs. external services, reporting on such activities and proposals and managing ongoing vendor relationships.
Negotiates airfare with carriers for competitive pricing and profit-sharing. Increases Air Business sales and profitability. Negotiates contracts for our current suppliers and attaches air at discounted rate.
Directs and oversees the development and management of alliances or partnerships that assist the organization in meeting its strategic business objectives.
Develops a plan for identifying, engaging, and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships or alliances. Develops and delivers presentations demonstrating the value of potential partnership opportunities. Directs the due diligence process when evaluating potential partners and negotiates terms.
Develops messaging or talking points used in partnership-related communications. Represents the company externally to develop additional business.
Makes recommendations based on internal and external factors. Designs and implements action plans. Keeps in contact with the client at all stages.
Directs and oversees development and implementation of operational processes meant to improve the efficiency of the sales force. Oversees existing applications related to sales force operations or automation. Develops quote to order processes meant to improve efficiency, increase profitability and increase customer satisfaction.
Creates reports detailing pipelines, forecasts, productivity, quota attainment, or other sales metrics to improve profitability. Assists in territory planning by analyzing territory potential. May assist with sales incentive administration.
Manages staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field is required. 6+ years Air desk, negotiations, partner relations experience required. Excellent communications and negotiations skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. A collaborator with a desire/willingness to learn . Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended or off hours as needed. Strong PC skills, with full knowledge of Microsoft office family of products required
