About this role
As part of its growth strategy, LEWIS is seeking an exceptional Vice President to support with the development of its digital marketing business, focusing on our West Coast offices. This is a new position and it is pivotal to the expansion of our US operation. To drive revenue growth, the VP will assist with leading national and international clients, providing LEWIS' full digital marketing services, specializing in social media. Knowledge of other digital services including SEM, SEO, display advertising, analytics and creative services, is a plus. Some travel in the US region will be required, with occasional travel globally.

Purpose of the role
The overall purpose of the role is to focus on building and maintaining strategic client relationships, profitability, leadership, new business and employee development across the West Coast offices, currently San Diego and San Francisco. This includes supporting new business growth, cross selling to existing LEWIS clients, and ensuring the integration of LEWIS services from multiple offices in the US region.
A key component of this role is the ability to win, lead, retain and grow major accounts in the by bringing greater creative and digital insights to client pitches, proposals and programs.
Key responsibilities and tasks
Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier clients, provide added-value strategic digital consultancy and initiatives for retention and organic growth
Ensure the delivery of excellent client service and satisfaction as well as the delivery of consistent standards of excellence across some of LEWIS' largest accounts, some in excess of $1mil retainer size
Work with the digital leadership team to ensure account profitability and revenue optimization to achieve the agreed commercial targets, acting where necessary to address issues e.g. over-servicing
Support the SVP, Digital and VP Digital West to develop strategies aimed at driving development and growth for Digital across major accounts, predominately across the west coast offices (currently San Francisco and San Diego). This includes supporting the SVP to set commercial targets for the financial year and ensuring that the team is aware of the plan.
Support the new business process: help set the strategy; act on leads generated and turn them into tangible opportunities; evaluate the quality and success of lead generation and pitching, taking action where improvement is needed
Drive building a high caliber, talented and motivated team
Act as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development, ensuring that appraisals are completed
Highly commercial and with long-term strategic vision, you have experience building and running account teams within an advertising or PR agency, region, practice or division. Your business network is strong and you have an impressive track record of winning and developing major blue-chip accounts as well as of retention and organic growth of existing clients. You are an outstanding leader with the skills and aptitude to structure, develop and motivate a strong team. You are comfortable working with large global brands and in presenting to C-suite executives as well as providing strategic account support to clients.
You have a wide depth of experience in digital marketing, including paid and organic social media, media buying, creative services, SEO, influencer outreach, analytics and research. You have experience in managing P&Ls/commercials, staffing and resources. Experience in public relations and content marketing/data-driven storytelling is also a plus. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, you understand how to best apply this spirit to a growing global organization.
Experience managing social media efforts for B2B tech, an absolute plus
Experience of working in a communications agency working with tier one brands (preferably in the tech sector) and providing C-level executives with strategic digital consultancy
Proven track record of exceeding goals and driving revenue growth; evidence of consistently making good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment
Experience integrating digital marketing capabilities with public relations, content and broader marketing activities
High level of business acumen, including successful commercial management
Ability to lead and motivate an ambitious team of communications professionals across all levels
Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends and potential pitfalls
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task. Will take charge of a situation and act, taking unpopular stands when necessary
