Sema4 is seeking a Managing Director for our Mount Sinai Health System partnership. The Mount Sinai business and relationship is a cornerstone of the Sema4 business. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall relationship between Sema4 and Mount Sinai Health System and its affiliates. The role involves oversight and coordination of direct reporting individuals as well as indirect resources dedicated to delivering excellent customer experience with Mount Sinai. The role requires someone with Executive relationship skills, complex opportunity skills, and creative partnering skills. Passion about genomic medicine, as well as delivering high service levels is a job requirement. The job will involve working closely with Mount Sinai leadership to support our growing genetic testing and data business, incubating solutions that will be launched nationally, leading resolution to complex situations and engaging with leadership in both Sema4 and Mount Sinai, to deepen the relationship between the companies.
The successful Managing Director will need a level of sophistication to handle customer relationships with industry thought leaders, manage the dynamics between lab, doctor and genetic counselors, and be able to drive highly complex sales to closure. He or she should be passionate about the broader Sema4 mission and have a solid understanding of the important role the Mount Sinai relationship plays.
Manage Sema4s Mount Sinai business in genetic testing and data solutions including the areas of reproductive health, oncology and pediatrics
Develop and set the strategic direction required to meet and exceed sales quotas and improve customer satisfaction
Develop and foster new lines of business
Motivate and coach people (direct and indirect reporting)
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Leverage internal resources to maximize value to clients including business development, customer success, marketing lab operations and billing
Grow sales beyond the core Mount Sinai hospitals and into hospital and practice affiliates
Leverage creativity and innovation to partner on solutions that deliver mutual benefit to the companies and provide a launching pad for the external market
Leverage SiniorSema4 Executives, in key roles, to strengthen the relationship
BSc/BA, preferably in a scientific space (MBA, a bonus)
10+ years in hospital and physician sales; specific expertise in Womens Health and Oncology genetic testing, preferred
Experience servicing or working in the Mount Sinai Hospital System and/or other hospitals in the New York market, is advantageous
Working knowledge of a consultative sales/solution selling methodology
