Commercial Banking Head of Credit Markets

As the Head of CreditMarkets, you will be responsible for leading the Asset Based Lending, EquipmentFinance, ESOP Advisory, and Syndicated Finance teams. The four teamssupport the needs of Commercial Banking clients, and in some cases, those ofother lines of business. You will ensure these businesses are managedaccording to organizational and industry standards, working across LOBs to setdirection, objectives and policies to achieve success. This role isresponsible for growing and maintaining profitable, operationally sound, andclient centric solution capabilities, while supporting the broader CommercialBanking client agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure teams adequately meet client needs, with a particular focus on execution excellence and client experience

  • Leverage best practices across the firm to ensure marketing materials, presentation quality, and banking skills meet the rigorous standards of the firm

  • Manage appropriate governance (i.e. business reviews, reporting, talent reviews)

  • Attract, hire, develop and lead broader management team, with a particularfocus on succession planning. Attract,develop and retain diverse talent.

  • Maintain a culture consistent with our"How we do Business" principles.

  • Focus on appropriatecontrols and governance. Identify, manage and mitigate current andemerging risks.

  • Define, track andrealize key performance metrics client experience/satisfaction of needs,quality of delivery, operational performance etc.

  • Develop and maintain strong workingrelationships across Commercial Banking, including coverage, risk, strategy,transformation, technology, operations, compliance, control, and finance

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Series 24 and Municipal Finance Professional designation required (eitherat, or within first few months of, onboarding)

  • 15+ years of proven leadership, management, and execution, with ademonstrated track record of developing talent

  • Advanced understanding of markets, financial products, transactionexecution and risk management

  • Critical thinker and consultative problem solver with a strong bias towardsaction. Healthy balance of intellectual curiosity, common sense, andexecution rigor. Strong commercialorientation

  • Ability to operatein a collaborative way, partnering across lines of business, among stakeholderswith diverse client needs in order to build consensus and drive strategy

  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills and presentation skills.

  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends

  • Structured thinker, strong planning/management skills (finance, budgeting, resource allocation). Highly organized and detail oriented with an end-to-end management mindset

  • Working knowledge of regulatory and control framework, with a strong cultural support of a solid control culture

Responsibilities * Use both vision and analysis to unlock business problems and build compelling fact based strategic recommendations, which successfully engage stakeholders. * Develop an overall strategic framework and financial plan to replace revenue streams lost from regulatory changes. * Engage and influence senior stakeholders in order to identify strategic business goals and change initiatives. * Guide and support decisions on growth and profitability improvement initiatives, including develop business plans to; effect pricing changes, identify new revenue streams, revenue deepening opportunities, and increase the quality of our customer experience. * Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead talented professionals to deliver outstanding results. * Engage senior leadership from products, distribution channels, customer experience, and business functions to drive strategy. * Support business with identified initiatives (regulatory, control, distribution and product driven). * Lead cross functional teams to deliver on implementations.
