Specifics details of the role:

  • Drive a high impact, integrated communications effort

  • Create larger, more creatively-inspired communications ideas at scale, leveraging existing assets and proposing new approaches as appropriate

  • Provide strategic counsel directly to our clients on integrated campaign matters, in collaboration with the Zeno

  • Provide integration strategy and creative guidance to our geographically diverse team of program leaders to achieve a consistent company voice across programs and channels

  • Provide direction for the creative process, working with our internal creative directors in New York, Chicago and London, and leveraging existing Zeno methodologies

  • Maintain a positive, collaborative and beneficial team environment, as well as open engagement with other members of the Zeno Global Leadership team who have direct reporting relationships for those staff members

  • Maintain a view into the account financials, scopes of work and agreements to guide the firm's decision making, working with finance and the individual workstream managers

  • Participate as a client advocate for the firm's largest and highest growth potential accounts

  • Recommend additional resources and partners who could enhance the firm's goal of bigger and better integrated campaigns

In the Managing Director role, you'll be a senior client counselor and driver of business growth.You will need to expertly balance thinking and doing while nurturing great talent and being a champion for collective wins. You must be a savvy communicator, a charismatic presenter and an inspirational leader of people and teams. At your core, you are an outstanding communications strategist and respected client counselor who loves "the work," shines in a pitch, and knows what it takes to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • At least 25 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including PR, digital, research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing

  • Experience creating and managing relationships with multiple, diverse clients

  • Proven experience growing existing business and winning new business

  • Exemplary communication - active listening, negotiation and persuasion

  • Gravitas and charisma - confidence and conviction in presenting ideas and providing smart counsel while representing the agency, group/department and clients in a polished, intelligent and engaging manner

  • Experience managing P&Ls within a professional service setting

  • Targeted, client- and growth-focused decision-making; proven expert judgment, calculated risk-taking and exceptional strategic thinking

  • Ability to identify and reconcile competing interests, while maintaining high emotional intelligence

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities and a team player attitude

  • Operational know-how and an ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Clear understanding of financial metrics and agency management
