Job Description (Corporate Technology Coverage)

  • Report to TMT Sector Head; Initiate, build, and sustain a portfolio of mid-corporate and corporate technology companies.

  • Demonstrate deep sectorial knowledge, economic and function as a subject matter expert to build our brand and presence in the corporate technology space.

  • Develop and execute a client acquisition strategy covering corporate technology prospects on a national basis.

  • Identify, develop, and convert prospects to maximize business growth for the group.

  • Prepare and execute business plan designed to meet and exceed overall business objectives including client portfolio profitability, revenue growth and calling metrics.

  • Originate business opportunities - ability to identify and deliver appropriate solutions for both clients and prospects.

  • Prepare, review and handle execution of client proposals/opportunities coordinating with appropriate internal constituencies including Credit/Risk, Product Partners, Middle and Back Office.

  • Collaborate with Product Partners to develop solution-based advisory pitches for clients and prospects.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and other products and services in conjunction with internal and external partners.

  • Lead the analyst, associate, and portfolio management teams in the preparation of all work product, including transaction related materials, return analyses, and all Credit and Investment Committee papers.

  • Scope, review, negotiate and implement legal and other documentation ensuring compliance with credit approvals, bank, and other regulatory policies.

  • Continually demonstrate leadership skills; assist in the recruitment and development of junior talent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics required.

  • 10+ years of corporate banking experience required, including prior experience in credit analysis and/or portfolio management.

  • Formal Credit Training (Commercial Credit Certification, or from another bank) or commensurate underwriting experience required.

  • Broad understanding of capital structures of technology companies and a working knowledge of debt and equity capital markets.

  • Must have an excellent track record of business development and successful prospect conversion, with strong connectivity in the technology industry.

  • Proven ability to cross-sell across a full-service corporate and investment banking platform.

  • Must have excellent intrapersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management, internal committees, as well as clients and prospects.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to identify and solve problems/issues, and be ability to manage multiple and diverse workstreams.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • FINRA Series 7or 79, 63 licenses required, or be obtained within 120 days of employment.

  • Willingness to travel to execute national coverage footprint.
