Job Summary

This role in Supply Chain Management leads and manages a team of sourcing specialists and materials management professionals responsible for procurement and management of electric transmission and distribution materials and services. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Management. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead teams responsible for procurement activities across power delivery organization, including, construction services, non-construction services, materials such as transformers, wire/cable, poles, switches, and other areas.

  • Provides oversight of materials management professionals with responsibility for inventory controls, management and logistics, analysis, and reporting in addition to storm restoration support.

  • Manage sourcing strategy, procurement, engagement with diverse suppliers, supplier relationship management, and delivering savings results in close partnership with Manager Supply Chain Services over Power Delivery Category Management.

  • Partner with key stakeholders in the business units to support major initiatives and strategic objectives.

  • May lead in major negotiations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 12+ years related experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain management and procurement principles.

  • Knowledge of inventory management, materials, warehousing, equipment, purchasing and transportation.

  • Understanding of available disposal alternatives.

  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Master of Business Administration or Post Graduate work is a plus

This role will support process improvement within Operations / Supply Chain, Commercial and Support functions, with a focus on Operations / Supply Chain. The qualified candidate will work closely with stakeholders and teammates from across the business to analyze problems, breakdown causal factors, identify opportunities, propose solutions and present results. This role will take a leading position in publishing monthly operating results and will be a primary resource for supplying and refining information used to drive decisions and process improvement across the business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES * Timely completion of data mining, cleansing, and modeling of transactional, operational, service and financial data related to monthly performance reporting, process improvement and project support. * Serve as primary resource for data needs across the Operations team; become fluent in current data storage and systems capability, linkages to functions outside of Operations and the network of information available through ChemTreat's systems. * Refine & improve methods for visualization of data, dashboards, tools and reports that supports problem analysis and assist in driving root-cause analysis and process improvement. * Evaluate existing templates and tools and participate in design, development and testing to enhance functionality and capabilities. * Help develop procedural documentation for sourcing and refining information needed for monthly reporting and evaluation of KPI's, and information routinely used to drive decision-making across all functions of Operations and the broader business. * Interpret data and provide analysis on Operations KPI's, including: Inventory, On-Time Delivery, Quality, Productivity, Logistics and Customer Service, tying in the appropriate functions to improve accuracy and ensure congruence in data and reported results. * Support continuous improvement activities, projects and special events with the timely delivery of critical information. * Continuously work to improve methods and tactics for finding, aligning and refining operational data, as well as finding opportunities to automate the extraction and presentation of information. SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Collects data and performs statistical analysis * Maps and documents processes * Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution/ transportation operations including staffing, equipment, sizing and layout * May assist with the analysis of inventory, productivity, order processing, logistics and distribution * Refines performance measures KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Expertise in data analysis tools and concepts: Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, regression modelling), and similar tools. * Expertise using, and knowledge of configuration and refinement of ERP capabilities, especially related to Supply Chain and Manufacturing planning, scheduling, data mining and configuration. * Tactical knowledge of core supply chain functions: Procurement & Inventory, Logistics, Production Planning; including understanding fundamental variables involved in daily decision-making and critical considerations to evaluate when optimizing each function * Good understanding of project management principles and a solid track record of delivery. * Ability to demonstrate a practical knowledge of process mapping and modelling. * Displaying critical thinking skills dealing with complex supply chain issues. * Effective communication and facilitation skills, and competence relating to various stakeholders and team members from differing functions within ChemTreat. * Good understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and related schools of thought. * Advanced skills in data visualization preferably with Tableau or Power BI. * Previous experience Dynamic 365 ERP System.
