This position is located in Duluth MN, home of the original Cirrus Aircraft Factory Service center. The service center manager, will oversee all maintenance operations at this facility by leading a service excellence culture and performing maintenance on Cirrus Aircraft in this region of the country.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all personnel are trained in the appropriate safety practices and procedures, including proper use and location of fire fighting equipment

  • Ensure technicians are using the appropriate technical data available during the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration activities

  • Ensure that Service Center operator requirements have been obtained, made available and followed by inspection personnel

  • Ascertain qualifications of all technical employees prior to work assignment through tests, evaluation, and previous experience

  • Train, assist, and supervise technicians in proper work procedures and practices

  • Ensure the shop equipment and tools are maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times

  • Ensure that all maintenance or alteration processes are appropriately completed and documented on the maintenance forms

  • Determine whether a hidden damage inspection should be performed, then document and inform the Chief Inspector

  • Initiate requisitions for stock as required for work being performed

  • Ensures employees receive on-going training to understand owner/guest expectations.

  • Observes service behaviors of employees and providing feedback to individuals and or managers.

  • Reviews comment cards, customer satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement.

  • Shares plans with Cirrus leadership and ensuring corrective action is taken to continuously improve guest satisfaction.

  • Strives to improve service performance.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 7 years aircraft maintenance experience

  • Valid A&P License

  • IA license preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified under FAR Part 65. Understands the FARs, Airworthiness Directives, methods, techniques, and practices contained in the applicable manufacturers' maintenance and alteration documents, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

Required Conduct: * Ensure every candidate receives a fair test * Represent Prometric's vision, mission and values * Ensure your test center provides a best-in-class and comfortable testing experience * Permit only eligible candidates * Safeguard the test center from misconduct Responsibilities: * Maintain and apply expert knowledge of test center policies, practices and procedures * Greet examinees and verify identification * Register and prepare candidate scorecards * If applicable, digitally scan and record candidate fingerprint identification * Continuously monitor candidates as they complete exams * Resolve or report candidate issues with urgency * Secure all computer software in the test center at all times * Reboot computer servers and reset passwords as necessary * Report any occurrences outside company guidelines to corporate management * Ability to be flexible with scheduling based on Prometric capacity requirements Required Experience: * High School Diploma required, college experience a plus * One to two years customer service related experience required * Ability to communicate with candidates effectively and with professionalism and authority * Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence * Ability to multi-task and handle small tools, pack equipment for shipping or unpack for installation * Familiarity with computer programs and applications (including but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, Explorer-web browsing) Physical Requirements: * Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds * Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time while administering exams * Ability to perform periodic walk-throughs * Visual requirements include the ability to adjust or focus computer screens and view testing room while proctoring * Frequently positions self to maintain computers in the lab & office setting; including under the desks and in the server closet Available Shift(s): 1.
