The American Express Enterprise Digital and Analytics (EDA) team is the center of excellence designed to centralize web, mobile and digital partnership development activities and help the company leverage digital expertise across businesses. The Global Digital Offers Products team within "EDA" is continuously identifying ways to connect buyers and sellers at scale on the Amex network, adding value to both Card Members and Merchants outside of payments. Amex Offers is the marquee product enabling merchants to market to Amex Card Members across a variety of digital channels.

The platform that powers performance analytics for these marketing efforts is Global Marketing Measurement (GMM). GMM is a dynamic data environment for best-in-class merchant-facing measurement products globally, reporting products for internal constituents across the Blue Box, and analytic power users to drive insights & decision-making for the Amex Offers ecosystem.

We are looking for an innovative leader to grow this platform across more markets, more features, and more partnerships. You will align across key business partners and product owners in the Amex Offers ecosystem to define the roadmap and strategy for performance data of merchant offers across our digital channels. You will represent our team to leaders across the Blue Box, prioritize use cases, strengthen value we present to merchants, and fortify our capabilities, using Safe Agile Product Methodologies. You will work with one of the most collaborative and nimble tech teams at the company and direct the work for two offshore resources. Your platform will help enhance how merchants think about American Express.

Responsibilities

  • Own the GMM development roadmap, product backlog and strategy to drive merchant NPS and Blue Box value

  • Build, maintain, and clearly communicate your product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and leadership

  • Act as Business/Product owner of digital merchant offer performance data in partnership with AET, marketing, user interface owners, operations, and compliance to set the vision and deliver on it using Safe Agile Product methodologies

  • Brainstorm and present new opportunities to integrate into new placements and new channels, with ability to identify upstream and downstream impacts

  • Define success; identify the best metrics to measure our effectiveness, evaluate potential new opportunities and enhancements, share learnings across markets and BUs, and enable demonstration of long-term value to American Express

  • Minimum of 3 years working in digital product development with proven experience initiating and driving technical enhancements that demonstrate strong business value leveraging Agile/Safe Product Development Methodology

  • Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to think through all aspects of a situation and generate possible courses of action, with a strong passion for the customer

  • Proven track record of positively collaborating with and influencing partners in a matrixed environment to achieve outcomes without direct responsibility

  • Comfort and experience in working with both business and technical groups, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, support multiple workstreams at once, and manage through ambiguity and rapid change

  • High-caliber presentation skills, both in terms of preparing and delivering a strategic vision to large groups and upper band levels

  • Willingness to travel as required (10%)
