The role of Manager, Labor Systems will lead all efforts from ideation through ongoing sustainment of Labor systems that exceed the expectations of the Operating Cast Members and Leaders at the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and other key businesses in the Domestic US including Disney Stores, Disney Cruise Line Shoreside Operations, and Disney Vacation Club. This role serves as the product owner for business capabilities working closely with Disney Parks Experiences and Products (DPEP) Technology who owns the technical advancement and architecture and ongoing technical sustainment.

This leader is tasked with striving to minimize all time spent out of the operation related to scheduling, time, deployment, and pay while providing "sophisticated simplicity" for Workforce Management professionals to seamlessly enable the Cast and Leader experience. This person will be responsible for business strategies that allow leaders and Cast Members to plan, optimize, and approve their daily operational labor, but also provide self-service tools that are constantly advancing to achieve expected needs. The business capabilities within this leader's purview in current state include Cast Mobile, Cast Deployment System (CDS), and the Labor Service Center/RSVP applications. Leader will also integrate with in-flight projects (Attendance / Time and Scheduling) to drive the end-user experience.

This role will work across the organization to develop and refine a roadmap that encompasses all partner business needs while consulting on how to approach those needs in a synergistic fashion. This role should be constantly looking for ways to share best practices across the organization to ensure those great ideas are made visible and that the technological needs can be satisfied in the most efficient means possible. This role requires strong presence (both virtual and in-person) along with strong communication and story-telling skills.

This position is responsible for the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World; as such, it can be located in either Anaheim or Central Florida. This person will directly lead three people with a total of 12 or more in their direct organization. Leader is accountable for headcount and project budgets. Travel (up to 15%) is required.

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Computer Science or a related field
