The Manager in Training assists in driving of top line sales and in the supervision and direction of the sales staff. The Manager in Training is a member of the store leadership team. With others in the store leadership team, the Manager in Training has influence on and responsibility for all aspects of the sales, customer, and employee experience. The Manager in Training is focused on learning all areas of the store in order to maximize personal, and store performance.

No jewelry experience? NO problem! The Manager-in-Training career track includes an innovative, all-inclusive training program in which you will attain a high level of proficiency in sales, coaching, training, and store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maximizing sales growth potential by ensuring all customers' needs are met and by proper use of Floor Direction, peer to peer coaching and teamwork.

  • Assists in the training and development of sales staff to perfect and utilize all Shane Co. sales techniques and resources.

  • Assists in the coaching and mentoring of sales staff. This includes providing feedback related to touch base meetings and performance appraisals.

  • Perform all duties related to opening or closing the store as part of the management team assignments.

  • Learn procedures for, and participate as requested in the recruiting, hiring and development of staff with the goal of retention of highly qualified individuals.

  • Consult and communicate with appropriate Company personnel regarding any store issues, opportunities or concerns and follow up as necessary.

  • Attend and participate in all requested meetings of the store management team

  • Attend, participate in or complete required training related to role, such as Advanced Selling, Floor Direction, Leadership training, Human Resources or Management skill training

  • Attend, participate in or lead meetings with the sales team

  • Communicate any opportunities for maximizing service, merchandise selection or other sales opportunities through the appropriate channels in the store and Company.

  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of all merchandise and ensuring merchandise security.

  • Learn the overall operations of the office (including Point of Sale proficiency, telephone procedures, office organization, inventory, forms, check procedures, layaway, financing, facilities requests, staff scheduling and handling of Customer Service Incidents).

  • Learn the overall operations of the shop (including quality checking, safety awareness, knowledge of basic jeweler functions and sizing).

  • Actively serves as a member of the sales team as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of sales mentorship OR management is required.

  • Luxury retail sales industry is preferred.

  • Proven ability to achieve goals.

  • Ability to maintain customer relationships in a changing sales environment.

  • Energetic team player.

  • Must have weekend availability.

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Profit Center Manager in applying Sunbelt policies. Concentrating focus on maximizing the profitability of the Profit Center ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In charge of Profit Center in the absence of the Profit Center Manager. Assess daily the need for purchasing equipment through feedback from salesman, CSRs, customer feedback, vendor representatives and marketing department product managers. Assess and modify (if needed) weekly sales plans and ensure that they are carried out appropriately. Ensure on-going compliance with all statutory DOT and safety requirements. Perform dispatching duties (if needed) Inspect Profit Center yard daily. Ensure OSRs and CSRs are aware of slow moving equipment. Ensure that Shop Foreman is aware of all equipment not available for rent. Ensure that Profit Center Yard, facility and staff are presentable.
