Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Manager has a direct reporting relationship with the Director of Finance and is responsible for the physician compensation related analyses, surveys, compensation reviews, and other tasks associated with maintaining integrity and compliance in the administration of Mercy Clinic Springfield Community physician compensation arrangements.

Manager provides compensation analysis and support to administration, develops analytical tools and reports, and interprets compensation data. Manager is responsible for recommending work simplification to insure coordination and eliminate unnecessary or duplication of efforts within the areas of responsibility. Must be capable of understanding and accurately administering compensation plan documents, employment contracts, and related legal documents.

Must be able to work well with other finance professionals and administrative leaders. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Job Description Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains documentation for physician compensation arrangements. Prepares prospective and retrospective compensation reviews and responds to requests by internal and external auditors.

Expedites, monitors and follows-up on new physician compensation matters through the approval and legal documentation process.

Supports timely preparation of annual physician compensation budget, including interim projections and modeling, as requested.

Supports timely submission of annual physician compensation surveys.

Researches compensation questions posed by office administrators, executive leadership, and/or physicians, and communicates accurate and concise information in response to such questions.

Works one-on-one with Vice Presidents to assist in analyzing physician compensation work measurement and compensation calculations and responds to questions regarding physician compensation and incentive calculation schedules.

Completes special projects, as assigned and ensure consistency and compliance to policy.

Participates as team member of the Clinic Finance Team and participates in finance initiatives and process improvement activities.Exhibits knowledge of legal responsibilities and complies with federal/state regulations.

Understands HIPAA and the regulations accompanying it. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate.

Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance. Meets Health System standards. Performs related duties as assigned.

CPA preferred.Preferred Experience: Healthcare financial experience.
