The Manager-Chaplain has oversight of the Spiritual Care Department. This department is responsible for the religious and spiritual needs of the patients, families and their visitors, as well as hospital staff members.
The Manager-Chaplain interacts and collaborates with leaders in the organization to plan, support and implement a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. The Manager-Chaplain assists with assessing the religious and spiritual needs & spiritual support needs of the client, and addresses or assist in addressing these needs whenever possible. An ordained Priest is preferred.
Education and Work Experience
Ordination in a recognized ecclesial tradition. In good standing with the ecclesial authority and in good standing with their faith organization.
Minimum 2 years in spiritual services environment (Hospital, Nursing Home, Hospice, Military Chaplaincy) and 1 year of supervisory experience. Certification through NACC, APC or other acceptable accrediting organization, or be eligible for certification; with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed, preferred. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree required.
