What part will you play?
We are currently seeking a Manager, Worldwide Marketing Finance for the WB Pictures International Finance department. This individual will support the financial activities of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing departments by managing the preparation of marketing film budgets, monitoring marketing spend, preparing management reports (including cost reports comparing actuals to budgets and report cards tracking identified savings) and assisting in managing the monthly forecasting process. Specifically, the responsibilities will include the following:
Preparing marketing budgets, analyzing historical costs, as well as preparing and updating pro-formas for film types (A+ Tentpole, A, B, C scope releases).
Meeting with members of various marketing departments to gather information, make recommendations, discuss alternatives, and provide forecasts.
Ensuring line item details of worldwide marketing budgets are updated and maintained including domestic non-media, international home office and international European Regional groups in both SAP and offline systems.
Analyzing allocated costs recorded by location to create algorithms for budgeting and forecasting purposes, liaising with territories to provide reporting of actuals and forecasting allocated costs versus budgeted costs.
Managing monthly forecasts in FLASH (by-title budget system).
Reconciling spend in various departments between SAP and offline expense registers; following up with responsible marketing team members to ensure proper accounting and cost reporting.
Directing preparation of journal entries for re-classification of costs based on by-title analysis.
What do we require from you?
BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
5+ years' experience in business or financial accounting, marketing related experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such, especially Excel and Access, which is used to manipulate large amounts of data.
Experience with large ERP systems, SAP experience preferred.
