Administers an assigned Compliance Program by providing subject matter expertise and consultation to ensure compliance with State & Federal laws, regulations and mandates. Designs and incorporates processes and internal regulations to ensure compliance standards within the organization.

Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities:

The Manager is responsible for coordinating the oversight of compliance programs for all identified vendors to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and have effective compliance programs to prevent, detect and correct non-compliance:

  • Management & Leadership

  • Manage Vendor Oversight Program Activities

  • Identification and Exclusion Screening Oversight

  • Audit Management/Follow-Up and Regulatory Reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Additionally, 5+ years of related compliance experience required.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience required.

  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of all federal and state regulations, laws and obligations relating to Medicare, Medicaid, and Qualified Health Plans

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously and with a high degree of initiative

  • Must be able to develop innovative solutions that balance legal and business need

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Excellent analytical/problem solving ability

  • Document and evaluate internal controls and processes

  • Ability to effectively navigate ambiguous requirements, complex projects and competing deadlines

  • Strong drive for results and accountability

This position is open to a variety of work location arrangements including:

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work from the designated office, Minnetonka/Madison, on average, 2+ times per week. OR This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office, Minnetonka/Madison, for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership OR This position is a Remote role. The employee must be located in any state in which Medica is an employer and will work remotely 100% of the time.

The full salary range for this position is $85,000 - $145,700. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
